After our visit to the North Jetty, we went into Long Beach to grab a bite, and then we headed back to Ilwaco. The Holiday Saturday Market opened at noon.
The port was a somewhat busier than when we were there earlier.
Things were getting festive.
Behold the world's largest crabpot Christmas tree!
Yeah, it didn't look that impressive. (Sorry, Ilwaco. No hard feelings. I still love you.)
At the market, I huffed some soaps, sampled some baked goods and bought a trinket for my work-bff. Oh, and I ended up buying some baked goods. The cranberry-oat bars were indescribably good! The baker was connected to the Chinook Coffee Company in some way I don't remember. But these were her last of the season. No more cranberries! Aaiiiiyeeeeee!
Afterward, we drove up to Oysterville. We polished off both the oat-cranberry bars on the way there.
And then we raced back to Ilwaco to buy more before the market closed at four!
"You're back!" the woman said as soon as I walked into the door. I made off with another three or four bars.
All this year I'd been looking forward to the Ilwaco trip at least in part for the cranberry-oat bars from the Chinook Coffee Company lady. Oh, well. There's always next year.
